Not strictly a lifeboat but i have recently purchased an ex-RNLI boarding boat that might be of some interest.

She is numbered BB-185 and was built in 1982 for the St Mary's lifeboat station in the Scilly Isles. She is approx 20' LOA, is of clinker construction and is unique in that she was the only slipway launched boarding boat in the fleet (excluding the stations current more modern BB).

I purchased her in July of this year directly from the RNLI so she is still in her original colours and is of course in typical RNLI condition!

Apart from the above, i know nothing about the boat, her builders or her life in service as sadly the RNLI have no record of her existence.

If anybody could shed some light on her, i would be very interested to hear from you.

In particular, some photographs of her on station would be of great interest to me.

Thanks
